If your calendars aren’t already marked, grab a pen (or open the calendar app, since we’re in the twenty-first century). March 2, 2023, is the deadline to submit 2022 workplace injury and illness data to OSHA.
Form 300A must be submitted electronically by this date, OSHA said in a news release.
Reading this and worrying that you may have missed something? Not every employer is required to submit this data. Establishments in specific industries, those with fewer than 20 workers in the applicable year and those with 20 to 249 employees that are not a part of certain industries are not required to e-submit Form 300A (unless requested), according to OSHA. Changes to the record-keeping regulations were proposed earlier this year.
To check if this applies to your establishment, visit OSHA’s ITA Coverage Application.
